Dear Reader. I Need You. All Writers Need You.

If you are a reader at heart, you might make it to the end. If you are not a reader at heart, it's okay and probably doesn't apply to you. I'm not ranting, I'm... wistful, and wondering what keeps readers from reviewing books.

Pixely Fun For Gerard

Just for fun, I created a Gerard Liddle avatar at Gaia Online.

A Life Invented

My third short story book for kids (age 9-12ish, give or take) is out! This time we delve into the childhood of Gerard Liddle, who appeared as an adult (well, sort of appeared, not giving out spoilers!) in "The Flight To Brassbright".

Extraordinary Dorks Book Club

I had the honor of participating as my book, The Flight To Brassbright, was discussed by the League of Extraordinary Dorks. :D  It was a lovely evening, as we all perched on floating rocks and land with a nearby air bridge connecting to incoming airships (you can't not love virtual reality)

My Influential Authors

Over in the Book of Faces, I was tagged by my delightful friend, authorB.G. Thomas to play the Influential Authors Game. Basically, I am to list 15 authors who have influenced me. This doesn’t necessarily mean I enjoy these authors works – I’ll be listing at least one that I find highly disagreeable (will leave it to you to figure out who that is!) Being influenced by an author and liking their work does not always go hand in hand.

Steamed and Steamy

It's published, and I've checked over a proof copy and cannot stop hugging it. Tickybox checked on the bucket list! I made a cookbook! And my cover artist, Tanya Paterson, made it look fantastic! Now I can go back to fiction writing. :)

Motor City Steam Con 2016

2016 is the year of the Motor City Nexus; a convivial hub where you can dock your airship for repairs and R&R on your journey, where you can have a spot of tea and attend a fascinating lecture or workshop, and where you can let your hair down and enjoy the entertainment provided. Have your passports ready and be prepared for an amazing journey!

Fantasy Faire 2016 Literary Festival

In a beautiful crystal pavilion in a richly enchanted land, there will be a special place for literary events as Fantasy Faire celebrates the power of words with its second Literary Festival. Here we shall stage readings, workshops, story-telling sessions and discussion groups, all around the theme of Fantasy.
